What does it mean to be stuck and why do we live that way?

Lately, I've been asking myself why I've been living like I'm stuck in my current position. It's almost like I've accepted that this is it. But it's not. There is literally no reason that I can't do anything that comes to mind. Why not move to Thailand on a whim? Why not follow a dream? Sure, there's going to be some hard work involved, but what's stopping me from doing it? Absolutely nothing but myself.
And that's the case for everyone. Some people have children or financial commitments that may make additional obstacles, but the possibility can still become a reality. So as a fun interactive post, let's try something.
Whip out a piece of paper, and grab a writing utensil. (Yes, an actual piece of paper, which is definitely hypocritical, but the neuro-chemistry of writing on paper is different and longer lasting than digitally)
Write down the first "dream" or "wild idea" that comes to mind that you wish you could accomplish.
Brainstorm three simple steps that could bring you closer to this goal. (ex. wake up a half hour earlier, get a planner, etc)
Pick one of these steps to do for 21 days. (Habits are made if you repeat an action for 21 days straight)
Reevaluate.
Repeat with an additional step.
So why are we stuck? I think for me, I got comfortable. I didn't have any exciting plan that I was working towards. I was just accepting the structure I had in place. And it was keeping me from growing. I think a lot of people get comfortable and crave stability. We've been conditioned to follow stability because a stable life means a successful life. But what does success really mean? And isn't it subjective?
So as spring comes to fruition, why not take steps to blossom a new dream? Or at least a new goal.
If you feel stuck, take a step.
